Pumpkin Spice Latte
Cozy sweaters, colorful leaves and the change of the season is almost upon us. With the fall approaching, the craze around pumpkin everything begins. The invention of the pumpkin spice latte, that is practically the taste of fall in a cup, was absolutely brilliant! So many people look forward to enjoying it but unfortunately many of these lattes found in coffee shops are loaded with toxic ingredients and packed with refined sugar. Here is a clean, healthy alternative combining real pumpkin puree and just a touch of natural sweetener so that you can enjoy this seasonal favorite and not miss out on any fall festivities!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients:
- 1 cup nut milk (prefer cashew milk)
- 1/2 cup strongly brewed coffee
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin purée
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp coconut butter
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat and bring to a light boil.
2. Turn off stove and carefully transfer hot mixture into a blender.
3. Blend on low speed for 30 seconds or until completely blended. Raise to medium speed and immediately turn off.
4. Pour blended latte into a coffee cup. Foam will form on the top of the beverage. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
